Today is kind of sleepy. After a short and rainy stroll, I'm hiding from the cold Melbourne winter with cooking shows, my favourite books and a nice hot toddy.
In case you'd like to know how:
Hot Toddy:
Ingredients-
Lemon Juice (1 and 1/2 real lemons, or a couple of squirts from one of those bottles of pure lemon juice)
Honey (to taste, but about 1 and a 1/2 tbsp is good)
Cardomon (1 pod will do. Slightly crush it with the edge of a jar. Or your teeth if you're feeling Caveman)
Cloves (whole ones x2)
Cinnamon stick
Hot water
Whiskey ( a smooth one like Chivas Regal is good)
Method:
Combine the lemon juice, honey, cardamon pod, cloves and cinnamon stick in a mug. Mush everything about a bit with the cinnamon stick. Then add the hot water and give it another stir. You might need a spoon to stir it once the hot water is in if your cinnamon stick is a short one. Once everything is combined, you can add your generous splosh of whiskey, stir again with your cinnamon stick (or spoon) and Voila!
Just like a warm snuggle by the fire in a mug. Kind of.

New Zealand The Brave
Travel, travel, travel. I think the best thing about going somewhere new, is how it makes you look at the tiny details of life around you.
New Zealand is a place of sweeping Hobbit-filled vistas, it's true.
But I also found rainbow windows, alpacas happy to pose for me and what the phrase 'tree avalanche' actually means.
